1. Main duties
Initiate, develop and monitor projects supported by the Foundation in Egypt in close

Support potential implementing partners in project development
Oversee, monitor, evaluate and coach project implementation (technical and

The Drosos Foundation is a private charitable organization aiming to improve the living
conditions of people in difficult circumstances throughout the MENA-region
(www.drosos.org/en). Since 2005, we work in direct partnerships ...with local civil society
to bring tangible, measurable and sustainable change to marginalized groups. As an
active and involved donor, we complement financial support to projects with hands on
capacity building and monitoring that is built on participation of all stakeholders.
In Egypt, the Foundation is expanding project funding activities. Therefore, the Cairo
office is seeking to strengthen its existing small team by an experienced development
practitioner as Project Manager.
1. Main duties
Initiate, develop and monitor projects supported by the Foundation in Egypt in close
partnership with implementing organizations (mainly from Egyptian civil society)
Identify potential themes and partners for funding by the Foundation
Assessment of potential implementing partners
Support potential implementing partners in project development
Oversee, monitor, evaluate and coach project implementation (technical and
financial); develop and apply adequate monitoring tools
Support institutional development of implementing partners
Contract and monitor external consultants
2. Requirements
Commitment to the goals and the approach of the Foundation
Demonstrated excellence in project development, implementation and monitoring in
the field of social development, including in depth understanding of relevant
methodological tools
